Last week's new comics were mostly fine, but not inspiring enough to be scannable, honestly.  Superman had things that I liked, but was a little mopey ( Read more... )

awwwwwwwwwwwwww.

So cute.

And the Brave and the Bold scan was *EPIC*, I love it when the bats do reinsertion as well as busting people's head. I like to think that WE as a job program for ex cons and such.

Multiple Robins? Awesome!

Aren't they both so adorable! And I do so love storylines where Bruce uses his intel and power to get a street-level con a second chance, I've seen a few of them and it never fails to delight me. I don't know, there's something wonderful in this one about how Joe thinks he's totally beneath notice, and you realize that all along Batman's been focused on him and not the big villains...

YAY, you posted the paned with the RE-BOOT. :D Nice! :DDD

“distorted perception” - OMG! :D But I don’t blame them. Considering the outfit... :D And I have to say, Kon reminds me Clark in those panels. AWWWW, he is sooo cute in the Superman’s costume. :)

“Where’s our pizza”
totally cracked me up! That was AWESOME! :DDD
And the ending - *laugh* - perfect! :D

“...no boy should to grow up without father”
… Oh Bruce! *hugs him* I LOVED this story!

AWWWW and those covers of the new comics looks wonderful! :)

"Tiny Titans" were so adorable and "Batman: Brave and the Bold" story made me happy and proud (of Bruce for being so amazing and clever!) and moved (the line about parents and Bruce helping the family).

Thank you very much for the scans. I enjoyed them a lot! :)

That re-boot cracked me up! I'm a sucker for silly puns...

HOW would anyone come up with the idea that Zod would be trying to order a pizza? That's more cracky than any fanfic I've read, I think... :)

… Oh Bruce! *hugs him* I LOVED this story!

Isn't he great? I love stories that focus on his work beyond punching people...

These were such great titles, I loved them!

I've been saying for years now that Tiny Titans is the best DC comic! And it so is. :D And awww at the Brave and Bold story, too. *hearts Bruce*

And ooooh, next months issues look awesome. *dances*

I'm pretty annoyed because neither title is on the same-day digital releases--in fact, Tiny Titans on Comixology is only up to #12! Grrrr. It's tough because I really like having some of these kinds of titles in among the more violent stuff as a nice break!

More Steph in books, yay! *dances with you*

Bruce, you are still SO INCREDIBLY DAMAGED, but thank you for pulling your head out of your super-rich buttocks and doing something for the poor henchfolk. One of them, at least.

This is, in fact, my hugest problem with Batman: he's a romanticization of class warfare. He has the resources needed to fix up Gotham and reduce the crime rate by fighting poverty (and hey, he could even afford some much-needed therapy while he's at it). Instead, he dresses up in crazy looking battle armor and beats up the poor. Good job, there, Brucie.

... this is probably why I like Superman best. He's got superpowers, sure, but he works his ass off in his day job doing amazing idealistic work. While Lois is out there busting the bad guys, Clark is busy helping the folk on the bottom. <3

I do always like the comics that hint at how much Bruce does in his "day job" as well--how many Wayne Foundation fundraisers we see him at, for example. They're almost always plot devices that break out into fighting (although not in Batman #1, where the philanthropy angle is a major part of the whole book, which is fascinating), but the guy seems to be at fundraisers or meetings in about half of all the issues he's in. Sometimes I kind of wish we'd see more of that side of his life, but "The Adventures of Bruce Wayne: Two-Fisted Philanthropist's Tales!" might not be quite as riveting as the Dark Knight Detective. :)

This is all adorable, but I think I'm most delighted by Mr Master Of Disguise at work with his 'stache and specs. How does he do it, oh my.
