Gotham City Sirens 18 & 19: Written by PETER CALLOWAY; Art by ANDRES GUINALDO & BIT
I'm still enjoying Gotham City Sirens on the whole, simply because I really like the relationship between Ivy, Selina, and Harley. I especially like how the Harley/Selina friendship has been developing:

Harley being so fond of Ivy and Selina makes me happy! I really hope she doesn't end up having to choose between Joker and her girlfriends, unless she chooses the girls, because I'd want to cry...

no, I don't know why Harley is dressed like that, BTW
LOL Harl does her own thing. And I love love love therapist!Harleen, whippin' out her psych skills left 'n right. :D And the pink hearts around her "Yes" speech bubble made me squee! <3 <3 Also, she loves her kitty! EEE! *LOVE*
And yes! I hate hate hate Harley/Joker. Probably more than any other canon pairing. EVER. In any fandom. It's such a creepy abusive creepfest of creepiness. If I *have* to ship Joker with anyone or anything, then I ship Joker/I-am-aware-that-I-am-fictional, LOL. But that is it. Anything else is just *WRONG ( ... )

I completely reject any hints in canon that she got her degree by sleeping with people (I think I saw that somewhere and it just makes me furious). Selina should have at least let him tell her the asking price. She's just asking to get ripped off.

Oh, Harley. My soft spot for you is a mile wide...

LOL! It takes a thief to know a thief, in this case...
Oh Harley...I'm so worried for her! I never used to like her a lot, but Sirens has humanized her so much. She seems like a cheerful, friendly, smart person, which just makes it all the more wrenching to think of her with the Joker...

I love Harley as sort of the glue of trio there, just adoring both of them in her own way. I'll be curious to see how well Ivy and Selina band together when she gets into hot water...

The basic plot is that Talia and Zatanna have decided that Selina knowing Batman's secret identity is too dangerous, so Zatanna is going to wipe the memory from her mind.
OMG! I don’t like this idea.
Catwoman was one of the villains they used magic on to change her personality toward being a hero. Obviously when Catwoman found this out, she...wasn't happy. Zatanna has since apologized and told her that she had only used magic to nudge Selina along the path she had already chosen, but...yeah, they don't get along. So when Talia and Zatanna show up and start trying to forcibly mind-wipe Selina again, all hell breaks loose.Well, I didn’t read the comic, so I can see it wrong. Anyway, to be honest, I don’t think it was right to use magic on Selina to change her personality. Though it could be for a good reason. Still, I don’t like such kind of manipulation of people’s mind. And I totally hate the mind-wipe. True, Selina has found out about it and she herself thinks maybe it could be a good thing. But I ( ... )

Poor Zatanna. Part of the difficulty with comics is there are so many people working on them, and so many stories...and they're all kind of canon, so if one person writes a crappy story with a character, there it is, and unless someone else does a LOT of work to get rid of it or explain it, it's part of their character forever... She really wasn't so bad until Identity Crisis, I don't think...to be honest, when I was a little girl she was one of my favorites because it was fun to read things backwards!
I saw on Twitter the image with Bruce/Selina kiss and I could see in some Batman comics that Bruce has feelings for Selina. I can’t help but wonder - are Bruce’s feelings the same as Selina’s? Has he ever been thinking about a possible marriage? And did he admit his feelings to Selina?
He does seem to think about it sometimes! In Hush especially (which is ( ... )

Because if I get it right, Selina is not more villain after Zatanna have used her magic on her. At least I think Selina is much better choice for Bruce than Talia (or do you think I'm wrong? I haven't read many comics with Selina or Talia, so I don't know their characters very well).
I like Talia when she's written by Denny O'Neil, who created her--when he writes her she's pretty tough and interesting. Too often, though, she's written as being obsessed with having Bruce's babies because her father wants an heir, lol, which can get tedious!
