My God. . .I had heard, but not believed.

I finally watched a Uwe Boll movie.

Bloodrayne, to be precise.

My God. . .it was just embarassingAnd I'm not exactly a novice--I've read about them, read and watched interviews with him, totally watched the drama between him and Lowtax Kyanka and their boxing match as it unfolded, and the other Something Awful feature where those two guys who ( Read more... )

Yeah, thanks for that. I never know either, especially when it's through LJ. . .could the person be ready for a little joke to cheer them up, or would they rather be let alone?

We were sitting there just in awe of how bad Bloodrayne was. . .from the costumes to the effects to the lighting to the acting, it was like this astronomical conjunction of poor quality had occurred. I've seen things that bad before, but just not on that scale. Especially since it was released to theaters!

I've heard that the German tax loophole he was exploiting the last few years has been closed. . .which begs the question, NOW where is he getting his money?

We were watching it, amazed at the actors they got to appear in it, and I hypothesized that the reason he gets the actors he does is because they can then put on their resume 'I worked on a Uwe Boll movie. I have gazed into the font of the universe's madness and retained my mind and my body. I can do your movie.'

It was totally a recurring joke for us that Ben Kingsley wasn't getting paid enough to actually stand up and recite his dialogue; for large parts of the film he's just sitting in a chair talking.

And Meat Loaf was made up to look like Bark at the Moon era Ozzy. It was a VERY unfortunate choice.

I love watching movies on Netflix. I can catch up on tv shows commercial free!

I'm sorry about the unknowing about your Great Aunt. You're a good daughter, and I think you'll look back and be glad you helped comfort your mom, whenever that happens.
