I was really looking forward to seeing that with you guys. I'm sorry M's crazy mother wore us out yesterday. I would have loved to have gone. Bah. Maybe next "weekend"...

It was strange; his features are so coarse that at times he looks like a goblin or something not quite human!

It went the opposite in No Country-- so deep and rumbling that his words bordered on unintelligeble. I thought it was an interesting touch, since in every scene he's in it's abundantly clear what his train of thought is (at least to me, but I may have turned some corner a while back) and that his words are less the point. Also, since it's obvious he doesn't engage in human interactions like chats or metatalk and doesn't use his voice as much as a 'normal' person I liked that it sounded rusty and unused when he DID speak.

/stops overexamining the psychopath, citing the whole 'staring into the abyss' thing.
