I don't even exactly know where you are, but I just got off a three-hour phone conversation with my cousin who's used to a summertime Christmas in New Zealand, who spent this past one in Whistler (BC) with his immediate family, and he's not happy about it, weather-wise. They grew up with Christmas holidays in the summer, so they're having a tough time adjusting (well, the kids are. The parents don't like it, but they grew up in America).

I'm back in Malaysia now, and while our weather's more hot and humid all year around, you throw in lots and lots of rain and you get the same unpredictability.
If you gave me a choice, I actually prefer Australian weather because you rarely sweat. You can sweat buckets over here.

I totally agree with you about the weather. Being there a tad bit longer then you have, just imagine how much more I'm preferring the weather there.
