Chandler is very polite and will stand and wait for you to pet her. If you don't, after a minute or so she'll walk away. She can't stand to be picked up, she prefers a head rub.
Sam is very demanding, and probably the most fun. She lets me hold her like a baby and rub her tummy.
Dean likes to be picked up and held, but just for a minute. I think she likes to check out the view from up high more than she wants affection. She's the hunter of the group--it's fun to watch her try and catch moths that are flying around outside the storm door. (She's a tough little kitty, but she can't break through glass, thank goodness!)
Yeah, it's been funny. Chandler was the biggest when I adopted them, but by the time I got them fixed (when they were 7 months old), Sam was the heaviest, then Chandler, and Dean has always been very petite.
But yeah, Sammy is definitely taking after her namesake--and Dean is as well. She's my little hunter. No moth, spider, or any other non-human, non-canine, non-feline party to enter my house is dead meat because of her. You should see how high she jumps trying to catch moths that are on the outside of the storm door.
Oops...sorry about that. But hey she's a sammygirl now for real. :) And its nice to know you have your own protector from the creatures that would consider invading your house.
