*mild spoilers for UK shows that have aired*

Anyone else catch Law & Order: UK last night? I've never seen any of the US L&Os, but I was looking forward to this one, mostly for Jamie Bamber ( Battlestar Galactica) and Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who).

I really enjoyed it. The pace was really brisk, we were thrown into it without loads of unecessary ( Read more... )

Yeah, I watched it too. It was really fast paced, but was still easy to follow. Think I have something else to watching on a Monday now :D

Did you enjoy Dollhouse? I didn't much like the first (it was okay, but I don't 'care' enough about the characters yet), but the second was much improved.

Looking forward to the next ep already :)

I've been really interested in seeing this show. Now that I know it's running, I'll have to look for it online.

And I just remembered - I believe they are editing US scripts for this, so if you've seen original L&O you might find the episodes familiar. (I think if it is successful they will use original scripts further down the road)

Yes, I'd heard that, too. I think I've seen just about every episode there is, so I'm interested to see whether I recognize them and how much they're changed.

Does Freema have to wear one of those wigs?

Damn, I've got behind on Being Human already! Too many good things to watch at the moment, and I'm also considering taking the plunge with The Wire.

We watched the first Dollhouse the other night and I quite enjoyed it. I can see it developing into something really interesting, and I've always liked Eliza Dushku. Weirdly, my husband wasn't that keen though - I would have thought it would be right up his street, but I think he's becoming slightly Whedon-averse for some reason.

I didn't think much of the first episode. I think Dushku is okay, but not massively versatile. Plus I think the concept is a bit complicated for mainstream American TV. It'd probably be fine on Sci Fi - but it's doomed to low ratings on Fox.

However the second episode was a lot more engaging and I'm always willing to give Whedon stuff a chance (though he has broken my heart many times in the past!).

I definitely think you're right about the concept, I hope the network gives it a fair chance though, and think they might do after the whole Firefly debacle.

We'll maybe give the second episode a go tonight - I'm expecting to quite like it given that I enjoyed the first one and I usually find first episodes atrocious: "Hi, I'm Basil Exposition!"

With all the excitement I've been having I'd forgotten all about Dollhouse! Thanks for the reminder :D. *torrents*

As I am at mum's I kind of have to watch what she watches so missed Apollo on L&O:UK.

I think I actually appreciate him more after watching L&O - I always found him a little dull on BSG.
