Looking for them? Why not check out this site I recently signed up in. It's at www.nuresume.com-a student resume network where you can build and feature your free online resume, post what position you are looking for as well as get alerts for matching internships and jobs. Good luck on your search.

I hope that you hear back from them soon. Don't lose hope yet! Maybe you got the internship. And even if you didn't, then at least you can stop fretting about them calling you back. (<--- Hmm, that was meant to be encouraging. Take that as encouraging.) :D

LOL! My mom worked as a nurse back when she was still working and a Filipina in my Japanese class is studying to become a nurse. I wonder, how did the whole Filipino = nursing career stereotype come to be?

Well, it wasn't for an actual internship yet. I just talked to her initially about my interest in maybe interning for her publication. She was busy at the time, so she told me to e-mail her some writing samples and she'd think about it. Either way, I wish she'd at least call or e-mail me back with what she decided. But one of my ates who graduated with a mass com degree and works promotion for Anheuser Busch said she's pass my resume around to her contacts. I'm hoping that yields better results.

My dad says a lot of Filipinos went into nursing because it was an easy ticket to the States. He figures since I'm already living here, I can pursue whatever field I want. Actually, the Filipinos about my age are mostly split between nursing and mass com, now that I think of it. I guess half of them took a liking to what their parents did for a living and followed their footsteps.
