I figured the kid would keep walking. But Riley did that butt-wiggling I PINE FOR LOVE thing and nobody can resist that. Kid said she'd never seen a dog like Riley before - kept going on delightedly about how her little tail makes her butt wiggle.
What I hadn't expected was that the kid would hang around chatting. Strange. I kept thinking: aren't I old enough for you to find me boring by default? Guess not.
Whoa, wait, what? Why all the work in the front of the house? They are fixing your cable, TV, phone and Internet, yes? Like immediately? Oh gosh, I hope everything is OK! Can you give an update?
Long story short, they are doing a Thing to the roads to improve drainage, which is good because we get a great big lake after 30 minutes of rain. I will hold judgment until I see how well the new system actually works -- or if it indeed does.
I owe you mail! Will write more soon. Hopefully I'll be getting good news about a few things in the next month or two.
