Oh, happy slightly belated birthday.

And lovely gators.

Thanks, hon. You holding up ok?

And, yes, now that I have Vera II, I am determined to spend this summer shooting gators. All the gators I can find. The average is something like one per four humans around here, so I should have an abundance if I can get out where they are.

I'm still struggling with this pesky chest infection that has wiped me out, I'm just so tired all the time. Practically all I've done for the last few weeks is sleep.

Which makes it kinda hard to assess how other stuff is doing. I feel... weirdly divorced from my feelings. In the sense of... I don't really seem to feel much of anything?

In a way this is good, because I'm not having that paralyzing anxiety and panic and despair anymore. But on the down side... not feeling anything.

how lon ga trip does it take to get from where you live to hwere the gators are?

Half an hour to that park, depending on traffic. A little more to some of the others.

As disconcerting as it is, that temporary numbing effect might be good for you... give you some time to take stock of things in a more practical & dispassionate way, yeah? Now have some tea, get some rest, and keep posting so we know how you are.

Thanks! You know me and lens flares of the "When was the last time you cleaned that thing?" variety.

Dammit, *I've* never gotten to take a non-zoo shot of a gator! Evidently they have a flock of them over at Brazos Bend near Houston, but I've never seen 'em.

It's all about going in the Hot part of the year. Skip the Not-Hot quarter, they don't bother to show themselves then.

You have to e-mail me the open e_posure instructions again. I forgot to save our chat log thingy from last weekend.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a new TLR with my ta_ return. Either from Craigslist or... well, I guess that's my only option.

Digital cameras are an ADHDers worst nightmare. Too many fucking options. If it's more than two steps, UGGGHRAGESTROKEI'MBORED.

Open exposure? Like.. doing night shots, or what?

I had no idea that the x fasting went on for so long. When are you ritually purified and able to use that letter again?

The gods only know when I'm ready to use the x again. Hey, there it is! x! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX! X!X!X!
