Not only do I have half yearly exams, but I'm also sick. WAHOO. I don't remember being sick this often in my entire life. I used to not get sick at all...or maybe that's just my imagination. I'm pretty sure that in the past 2 years I've been getting sick more often than I used to. I'm really not liking it ( Read more... )

Also, if you go have a look at other land communities, you'll see that it isn't about being good at any of those. Also, there are numerous challenges that don't require you to be good at anything in order to participate. Land communities are more about participation and, if you like, making friends in the fandom. I mean winning is fun and it gets pushed, but mostly it is just about having fun.

Also, the first challenge at xenaland? It is basically a game. Everyone can do it. Not creative at all.

There's a balance, so that there's something for everyone.

Yup. At legendland, we are encouraged to enter everything regardless of skill level. For most challenges you get points just for entering, and it can be utter crap. Actually a good deal of the entries are utter crap (I mean for icon challenges, people crop and go. I'm serious.). *shrugs* So even the ones where things are voted on...it isn't really a competition that's about 'who makes the best stuff', but more like 'who enters the most stuff'. Which makes it more fun ( ... )
