Postcards from Burma

From the Great Book of Pretty Clichés, here are a couple of colourful sunrise photos to brighten up your day...

I don't know about you, but I could really do with a beautiful sunrise around here. Mornings have been terribly dull and grey lately.

Yes, those Bagan temples and palm trees made for good silhouettes...

Thanks! :-)

Heh. I thought you'd appreciate these. I haven't forgotten what English autumn mornings are like...

Ta!

Well, clichés only become clichés when they are universally accepted due to their perfect encapsulation of an idea. As clichés go, these are beautiful.

I'm not sure I completely agree with your sort-of-definition of clichés, but I'll gladly accept the compliment. Thank you very much!

How pretty! And I COULD really see those as post cards!

Thank you! Perhaps I should send them to the Myanmar Ministry of Tourism; lord knows they need better material to advertise the splendours of their country...

YES! You should. I know I'd buy these as postcards. :)

Ah, but would you go to Burma to get them as postcards in the first place?

I think I may give the Myanmar Ministry of Tourism more business if I send the photos to Lonely Planet. Which I may very well do at some point.

Love the silhouettes. The flaming sky provides a perfect backdrop, too.

I know! I was quite ecstatic when I took these pictures. I was nowhere near the spectacular temple I had planned to photograph when the sunrise began, but the nearest one at hand proved quite useful, too, silhouette-wise...

Good to have you back, Mrs Minnie. :-)
