More from that delightful cemetery...

These aren't the most exciting pictures composition- and angle-wise, but I do like the atmosphere they evoke. There's something very tranquil about them.

How about... "John Travolta's got nothing on me!"

Oh, that was awful, sorry. :P

Ha. Actually, I rather like that. What I don't like, however, are the images of late-seventies films it conjures up. So thanks for that, Sam. :-)

I wish I was a ballerina!

What do you think, would the wings give extra balance, or would they be a hindrance to a ballerina? I don't know, but for some reason I'm having a hard time trying to picture a winged angel doing a grand jêté... :-)

She's pointing at the people in the first picture and saying, "Oi, what're you starin' at?" For some reason in a bad Scottish accent.

By the way, the first picture of the mourners, particularly the second from the left, makes my heart sick.

Heh. Just picturing that scene makes me giggle. :-)

Thank you for appreciating the first picture, if indeed "appreciating" is the right word to describe your response to it. I'm rather partial to the photo myself. I stood in front of that grave for a long time, trying to figure out how I felt about it -- whether I thought it beautifully classical or rather a little tacky, whether the moss actually added to its look or detracted from it, etc. In the end, I decided I liked the desolation of the piece, so I took a picture of it. I'm very pleased with how it came out.

Okay, crass I know, but off the top of my head:

"Up yours" (pun unintended ;))
