Thank you! Actually, the desert is full of colours, if you only care to look for them. As for the sun normally washing out all the colours, yes, I admit I was a bit disappointed when I got the not-printed-by-a-professional-lab print versions of my desert photos; they looked very pale. Thankfully, it seems Photoshop has no trouble correcting bright sunlight. Which is a good thing, as quite a few of my photos were taken under bright light conditions. :-)
*nods* i've moved some months ago to my actual place, and it is very desert like @_@ my eyes seem to be getting more 'acute', and there's really some beautiful things in it. i still don't know how to capture them ... -__- ^__^ moooore practice :D
More practice is always good... Keep at it and you'll end up with some spectacular photos. Said the spectacularly unprofessional photographer that is yours truly. :-)
As for your living in a desert-like place, that doesn't actually surprise me. There's something very desert-like about the pictures you post in your journal -- the sand, the impossibly white light, that sort of thing. So whereabouts do you live, if you don't mind my asking?
