Site update

Feb 27, 2006 22:53

Well, I'm still behind on my reading and commenting, plus I have meme challenges to complete from izhilzha and QoC, but there's one thing I have accomplished which I wish to tell the world, and that's an update of my site. All of last year's finished stories (along with Five Things That Never Happened to Jarriere) are now up, except for one ficlet (the ( Read more... )

Yay!

I forgot to take my day off on Friday, so I took it today. I had all these good intentions of going out to a movie or something, and instead I spent the day downloading and installing Gimp plugins, and making a couple of icons. (sigh)
Well, I am quite happy with one of the icons. It is very artistic, in a Modern Art sense.

Well, if you really wanted to download and install Gimp plugins, I don't suppose you should feel bad about not going to a movie. :-P

I've spent the last couple of weeks--well, months, actually--setting up my goals for 2006. Which is the only reason that I finally got around to the update, because it was on my goal list for this month. So if you really want to go out somewhere, I suggest you write it down; works wonders for me. :)

My problem is stopping doing things, not starting them. I start something, I tend to keep going... which is why I didn't go to the movie, because I'd gotten caught up in the gimp stuff and just kept going.
See, one of the failings of a J!

Well, it happens to me, too, if I'm doing something interesting. They say the solution is to set an alarm to remind you to quit, but I've never tried it.

Well done!

You're doing better than me - I have to send a few more off to Hermit (and I want to try and get my author name there changed to, so I use the same one in all fandoms)... and I will get it done one of these... lightyears...

Thanks, but since this is my first update in six months or so, I don't think I want to compare track records. :) I can understand why you'd want your author name consistent everywhere, though. Good luck with that.

Brava! At least you have a web page, I'm too lazy to bother. :-P

I read some of your stories (I'd only read a few before); I really need to get my hands on Blake's 7, this is getting ridiculous. It's bad to read the fic before watching the show....or so they tell me....

Heh. My laziness is only exceeded by my insane need for control; I had to put up a site since I couldn't bear to let anybody else archive my stuff. This way, I can correct any errors that I find (and boy, do I find a lot).

It's bad to read the fic before watching the show....or so they tell me....Well, thanks; trying to read them without knowing the fandom is really going above and beyond the call. :) I don't know that it's bad to read fic for a show you haven't watched--my youngest niece does it all the time--but it seems unnecessarily difficult. Now that I think of it, that would be especially true of my stories; some are based on knowing the episodes I'm referring to, and some are about extremely minor characters--I've already written several times more dialogue for Jarriere than he has on the show! But you should try the show if you get a ( ... )

Sorry, that was me. Anonymous in my own journal...Snape would probably say, "How very appropriate."
