I'm glad you liked! It's a terrible situation for anyone to be in, isn't it? The way I've got it figured, Mihashi needs to marry in order to keep face with the public (he's a popular baseball star), can't just be out about who and what he is ... and Abe's too afraid of losing him to stop him from doing what he's done. *sigh* Why do I write stuff like this? It just makes me ache.

I may have to do more fiction on this universe. In my head, his wife knows and has agreed to marry him as a cover. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Actually, the whole cheating-on-anyone thing felt OOC for Mihashi to me, but whatever, I needed to bleed this story like poison, so this happened. *laughs*

Ahhhh, this was angsty and beautiful. It's so heartbreaking that their failure to communicate would extend so far that Mihashi would actually think that this was okay with him. And the way that Abe will still take whatever he can get from him just guts me. So hard. And the gorgeous sex. The anticipation of it is tangible, and then Mihashi just driving hard there because he can't help it anymore is SO HOT AND GORGEOUS. Wahhh I love your writing so much!
