Hajime no Ippo, "Telling Tales," Miyata/Kimura, et.al., R?

THIS STORY TOTALLY BREAKS MY SHOW-IT-DON'T-TELL-IT RULE AND I DON'T CARE. It'd be an epic arc of a story otherwise and I don't really want to write an epic arc but the idea was TOO EPIC and wouldn't leave me alone so I'm writing it in the quickest way I know and that way happens to go against my very soul and I DON'T CARE

YOU FINALLY WROTE IT! And it was even more fabulous than the ideas were when we were talking about them! The style you chose to tell it in, with Miyata relating the story, was an ideal format - especially when you got to the part about his father catching them sleeping on Miyata's futon (I thought you actually were going to have Miyata and Ippo doing more than just sleeping!) And nice twist that Ippo and Kumi ended up together after all even after all that. And you left me curious as to what the secret of Miyata and Kimura's relationship was! (BTW, did you link it to the Ippo community?)

JUST posted it to hajimeno_ippo actually! I got sidetracked posting it to y!gallery. I'm hoping with the new season, some of the artists over there might take notice and start drawing it. :3

I couldn't NOT write it, it wouldn't leave me alone. And in the end, it was really quite fun to write. Writing Ippo as essentially heterosexual felt WEIRD, but hey, stranger things have happened. Don't know when or what, but you know. As for the story behind Kimura and Miyata ... well. I've got some time before NaNo. Maybe I'll scribble it out. ;)
