Kyo Kara Maoh, "In Preparation For, Epilogue," Yuuri+Wolfram, PG

WHEE IT'S THE LAST CHAPTER. I'm probably the only person who's super-excited about that; moving on.

To all the people who are going to dislike me after this chapter: there's an author note following that will either assuage your angst or give you some direction for the rant you aim at me ... dunno. To the rest of you (I'm not sure there'll be any ( Read more... )

It's never too late to comment, if you want to go back and do it now! *shot*

Mmm. I can see where you're coming from (the heart of a shipper really pumps peanut butter when faced with a piece that goes against the ship, doesn't it? *sympathy*) with this, but ... I don't think that Wolfram flips out openly when he's actually unhappy. I think that, when it hurts badly enough, he bottles it all up inside and just hurts. Poor guy. ;_;

Here, appease your shipper mentality: I've got some more traditional Yuuram posted right here. ^^

Thanks for reading, hon!

*rolls all over it* This is a good epilogue, hon. I like that things aren't okay between Wolfram and Yuuri at the end here, because how could they be? That's my big grumble with canon -- Yuuri's not into it at all, and Wolfram keeps pushing, and when he finally pushes Yuuri away, no one's gonna be happy.

I like what you've done with Allen here. He's a good man, I think. And Wolfram knows it, too. He also probably knows how lucky he is. That, of course, doesn't stop him from taking his anger out on Yuuri again. *cough*Hello, canon!*cough*

So, you did good, good stuff with a prompt that gave me fits. Makes me think a little more deeply about canon, and that's a very good thing. :)

*hauls out the Yuuri/Murata icon for no good reason*

This prompt was just no good, you know? I don't think there's a way to do it without upsetting others. Honestly.

I like how you phrase the situation: "when he finally pushes Yuuri away, no one's gonna be happy." Isn't that the truth? Wolfram's putting his entire family in a very awkward position, if Yuuri doesn't magically go gay for him. It's like when someone in the office breaks up with the boss: makes everyone uncomfortable.

I think that, to make myself feel better (because seriously, the responses I've gotten on this arc have been lukewarm to negative, at best) I'mma come up with a handful of original characters and slap this situation on them. Give myself some more wiggle room to leave out the lemon in the previous chapter explore the implications of this set-up a little further ( ... )

Despite being a Yuuram shipper, I loved this story. I'm willing to admit that it takes a fangirl twisting pretty hard to make Yuuri gay (I tend to think of him as a Kinsey 1-2 and that he only falls for Wolfram after a long time of getting to know him) so I think it's pretty realistic that he just wouldn't be into Wolfram sexually. In this story, I'm glad things have worked out to a point where both men seem decently happy with their lives. Good story :)

I'm so glad you liked this. I knew it was going to be pretty far off the mark for folks who ship Yuuram, but like you, I think that Yuuri would only fall for Wolfram after he'd had the time to both get to know the guy and grow up enough to make the decision that his feelings for Wolfram matter more than his preference for female over male gender. I think if he fell in love with a woman in that time, Wolfram's chances would decrease significantly (hence this story).

Thank you so much for reading and letting me know you liked the story! Makes me all different shades of happy. :)
