Inspired by wicked_pistil's hilariously technical fiction Textbook Example, this is a piece that just kinda happened while I was trying to sleep. Fic won, sleep lost.

Would it be blasphemy if I said your Death Note writing is my favorite of everything you've done?

Your handle on these boys is fantastic. Sparkling, dazzling characterization. And your work with metaphor and theme in this fandom makes me squee like the English-major dork that I am.

I love the theme of 100% in this, that you wrote the period when Light doesn't have the book. That is my favorite part of the manga, when you see him revert back to "innocent," but still seeing those elements of his personality that make it clear how he becomes Kira. You know that he would have been a sadistic dick, death note or no.

Just love this to bits. ^^

Haha, not blasphemy at all. Just personal preference. Just like, for all the complaints that my Russel/Ed isn't as good as other people's, it will always still be my personal favorite. I'm just really glad you like my Deathnote stuff so much!

I was fascinated by the time Light spent without the Deathnote (to me, he never got it back, because I skipped forward from like 52 to 59, then got pissed and quit reading all together), and wondered just how much of Kira Light would retain. This was my exploration of that, and I'm SO glad you liked it!
