Well, it's most definitely official that I'm going to Germany! I fly Syd-Frankfurt (transfer KL) on Jan 14, arriving 605am on the 15th. Then hop over to Lufthansa and Frankfurt-Nuremburg, a 45 min journey, and get picked up by rents at Nuremburg airport. Then drive to Bayreuth which doesn't take long given very flexible speed limits ( Read more... )

I went to the IR rally for half an hour. Just enough time to catch Iemma's bumbling, ineffective speech. I wouldn't call people we know apathetic for not turning up, it was the 3rd mass rally in the past year and, to be honest, WorkChoices will have very little effect on the majority of ex Ruse students. By the way, I don't support the legislation at all, I think it's a terrible thing, just explaining that a bit of self interest is natural in everyone and that Rusians have less to fear than your average young adult ( ... )
