Films are often made using more than one film crew. One might shoot the primary characters, another shoot remote locations, etc. So you might see credits that list "A" asst. director, "B" asst. director and so on. Good thing I didn't read Ebert's review. He praised it. Had I seen that review and then watched the film I'd have been really peeved as opposed to thoughtfully annoyed.
