It IS really disconcerting. Especially because there were so many new people and now... nothing. I really hope that this isn't permanent, considering how many people are vanishing for good...

Do you think that maybe the sphere has a limit to how many people it can hold, or something? One it hits that number, nobody new can show up until enough people have disappeared, maybe?

It's a really grim thought, but not one we can discount, either. I think it's entirely possible.

That is odd. I can't say I have any speculations, as I've got no speculations as to why we're here in the first place.

Maybe there's only supposed to be a set number of people here at one time, or maybe whatever Gods exist here just got pissed off at all the deaths that have gone on. Or maybe they like it enough not to send more people over here. Or maybe there's enough people in here for whatever purpose we were dropped here for.

Ah. I may have been lying about having no speculations. Let's say that I've got many, very bad speculations.

There has been a time when it was quiet before, just like it is nowadays. It was a really long time before anyone actually hatched during my shift.

I think that it was sometime last year when there hadn't been anyone new hatching for months. Maybe it was triggered by something that happened, but I can't really recall anything more unusual than normal.
