Costume party! Dude, awesome. Who's going? I've got my costume already.
Raven, you'll save me a dance? Or two or three. Assuming there is dancing. And Aara, Claudia, Bryn, Chloe, Rapunzel, I'm totally expecting dancing from you, too. Actually, pretty much just might ask everyone I know to dance, just tossing that out as a warning.
[He is so

And you know I've got your back, nameless soldier.
[....
Hey, you busy right now?

[There's relief on her face - because she trusts Bobby and he says if he won't tell anyone, he won't. That's all that there is to it.
She looked over at him when he spoke the shortened version of her name he'd given her, brow quirked and hands resting on the bed behind her to prop herself up.]
...Yeah?

You don't have to thank me. It's just, you know, the right thing to do. Not my secret to share.
[And there's a longer pause after that, because he didn't want to talk about this. He'd never wanted to tell her about the similarities between some people here and some on his world. Because it doesn't matter. The people here aren't them, and he doesn't want to make comparisons. But this part, he can't keep secret.]
I...know a Charles Xavier, on my world. He's - well, he's really different, but also there's some similarities. He's a telepath, too. And there's two people who got here recently who're from my world, or at least one really similar to it, so they know the Charles Xavier on my world can do, and will probably make the connection, if they meet him. I just thought... It doesn't feel right not to give you and him a warning about it.

Except then her smile is fading and she's giving him a look like he's grown two heads and she opens her mouth to tell him that he's nuts, that's not possible, that it can'e be because that's just--
Well, nuts.
Except - it's not.
She blinks.]
He--you do? [She runs her hand through her hair, trying to absorb this - and then a lot of the things they've talked about really start to match up. Westchester New York, the people he knew - both referring to themselves as mutants--
...]
Oh.
[She swallows faintly - and ignores the glaring question she wants to ask in favor of another.]
Do...they look alike?
[Faintly.]
Reply
No, they don't. I wouldn't have recognized him except for the name, actually.
[He's just - going to be as honest as possible here, while trying to give as little details as possible.
The last thing he ever wants to do is tell her about the Mystique of his world. They're so far from each other that - well, that he can't even compare them anymore. He just counts himself lucky that Scott and especially Logan are from a time too early to have really encountered her that much.]

Oh.
[Two...Charles Xavier's?]
...Why? What does yours look like? [She can't picture Charles looking anything except...well. Like Charles.]
Reply
...uh.
[Like Captain Picard!]
Well, the one on my world is bald. But, uh, he might not want to know that.
Reply
[She starts laughing a little, pulling on her hair.]
What, is he like...old or something? Are you in the future, Bobby?
[...Then it strikes her that that is not such an outlandish observation.]
...What year is it for you, anyway? And...
[...Here's the dealbreaker.]
If there's a Charles in your world...
Is there another Raven, too?
Reply
Yeah, he's older than your Charles. And I'm from [fff, insert some year in the 2000's here, idk, the stupid film just says 'the not too distant future'.] Why, what year is it for you?
[And he's been expecting this question. He'd been hoping that she wouldn't ask it, but it's not like it's a surprise, or anything. He knows exactly what his answer's going to be, because as far as he's concerned, there isn't another Raven in his world.]
No. There's not another Raven.
[There's a pause, as he considers leaving it at that, but he doesn't want to lie to her. Even if it's only a half lie.]
But I think there might be another Mystique. We only met once, and we didn't talk at all. But she kind of looks like you, blue you, and she goes by Mystique.
Reply
On both counts.]
...It's 1962.
[Which...which means...]
Holy shit. Maybe you really are from my future.
[Mystique - There's a Mystique in his world in the 2000s whatever and she's blue and Raven is trying to wrap her head around what this seems like it could be.]
What am I - what is she...like? [Augh all the mindfuuuuuuu--]
What about...what about Erik -- ? [She smiles faintly.]
I nicknamed him Magneto. Do you know him?
Reply
[No, she's just saying that to mess with you. Of course really.]
I don't know. I guess it's possible? But I've met more people here from different but similar worlds than the same worlds but different times.
[And also, no. He pretty much refuses to believe it's possible, that the Mystique of his world is Raven's future.]
I don't know? I didn't really know her. But she seemed pretty kickass.
[And insane. And evil. And a bitch and Raven you so don't want to be like her.
Shit. Of course. Of course she'd know Magneto.]
I know of him? But I don't really know him, no.
Reply
Of course she was! Anyone that's a mirror of - or a future of me - is going to be totally kickass. [Duh, Bobby.
Raven's a little disappointed that Bobby didn't know her that well, but...ah well.]
..Huh. Nice to know they're still around, at least. [She grins - because that must mean everything works out with the Cuban Missile Crisis and Erik and Charles are still bros and everyone is an awesome, happy family at the school.
Or something. Erik can get a little tetchy.]
Reply
Of course. Meeting you, no one could think otherwise. You're still way more awesome than she is, though.
[...yeah. That's exactly what it means. Bobby's just...not going to tell her how things really turn out. Though at least he wouldn't really know anything about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bobby's Professor still had the use of his legs twenty years ago.]
And you're the only you I'd want to ask to dance at a costume party.
Reply
However if she ever finds out he's keeping things from her, she's going to be very upset.]
Good, then. I glad. I wouldn't want you asking any other me's to dance at a costume party.
