I finally got a job on a low budget short movie being made here in Austin next week. It turned out the assistant director Michelle lives literally two blocks away from me. I've been less materialistic which is great, but also more isolated and self-absorbed. It hasn't been a bad thing though. Been doing lots of waiting games. I'm waiting to hear if I got on a movie here in Austin as assistant locations. I don't know what movie it is, they won't tell me anything until I'm hired. I put a Harvey Two-Face action figure from the '90s on my desk and struggled to make it stand by itself. It made me realize how foolish I looked in the process. We humans are weird. Why do I need this Harvey Two-Face action figure and why must it stand up? It's one of those small things that own us.
