life: put on hold

Jun 21, 2008 11:53

On Wednesday I had six teeth removed: four wisdom teeth and two deformed molars that were, as the dentist put it, "useless" to keep. Now, on Saturday, I still feel as though I was hit by a city bus going at top speed. Is this natural? Am I supposed to feel like crap for this long? With the pain medication, I can't keep anything down, but ( Read more... )

ow! i feel your pain, susan!
i got 8 teeth pulled once, when i was 9 years old.
(i had HORRIBLE teeth. it runs in the family, apparently.)
so, i completely sympathize. the weird feeling in your mouth is completely unbearable.
hope you feel better soon!

Eight?! Oh my gosh, that must have been terrible for you, especially when so young!

It is a weird feeling, just like something's missing. Each day I get better though, which is great. ^_^

If you take some time off to focus on yourself, I'm sure no one will get mad. I wouldn't do anything if I was in that type of pain. I've had several friends who have had to have teeth removed and each of them went through about a week of pain.

I think I'm going to have to go to the dentist soon. The bones in my teeth are unnormally soft and I even have to use a special toothpaste and floride paste to brush with. Lately my teeth have been chipping away bit by bit and I dont' know why. :[[

Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah it was difficult to focus during the worst of the pain. It's improved now, but it doesn't take long for me to be drained again and need a nap.

What's wrong with your teeth definitely sounds serious. That is not at all natural. o_O I hope it can be fixed.

Awwh, Susan, I feel so bad for you!

Pulling teeth is never fun. But I never had to have such a drastic pull, it was always baby teeth about to come out type.

And by the way, I'm sure people will understand, as long as you tell them. We all love you Susan, and I hope you get better really soon and can eat some real food!

I'm still waiting for some pizza. :P Watermelon will have to suffice for the time being, however, haha.

I've had teeth pulled before too, but they were only baby teeth, which seemed like nothing compared to these molars. Then again, one of my wisdom teeth was a massive thing. Scary. :/

Watermelon's never been my favorite fruit. Why don't you have some nice oranges? (*loves oranges*)

Baby teeth aren't really all that scary, unless they aren't ready to come out yet. I'm scared about getting my wisdom teeth pulled *shudders* But that time still has a little while to sneak up on me, so I'll keep my mind on other things at the moment. xD

Oranges with open wounds in the mouth?! I had some cranberry juice and nearly died - the acid is nasty. Just berries, bananas, pears, and watermelons for Susan. ;)

Haha, yes it's better to not think about it right away, though it's better to get done before you get too old.

Yes! I was the same way, dreaming of food and smelling all the wonderful stuff my mum was cooking. It sounds like you were very numb indeed. o_O Maybe they used a lot of freezing on you.
