I RP on a site where there is a Kavanagh and a Simpson. There they are mostly sniping at each other, but that makes me think it could certainly be a viable ship. I'm working on a Kav ship of another kind at the moment, but Simpson could work too. Are you planning to write it?
Yep, have done one story with it "Ever After", one with possible friendship/preship, Stereotypical, and one sort of UST/pre-relationship one I'm planning on posting up later today. I have others in the works, as well as trying to write some Simpson fic that isn't ship, since I'd like to work on her characterwise too, I don't want her only defined in terms of the ship.
If you have any interest in it I know of two fics with it. One is adult, or going there eventually, also with McKay/Weir and Heightmeyer/Zelenka - Pleasures of Alien Abduction by murdocsangel - and another generally character piece with some ship Markham's Journal by Fanwoman. The first is fun, chapter 1 is the main Kav/Simpson bit and only really M/R rated - the second fic is wonderful. I betaed it and adore the story. It's an AU where Simpson, Kavanagh and 3 other characters survive the BIS other timeline.
And I think I'm going to add those links to the main entry about this now... because I was going to link this on oddball_sga
I certainly can't, like other people, pretend you're an oddball with a weird ship when I've previously shipped Kavie with Hermiod and I'm in the process of shipping him with someone else. I even claimed him for myself on alphabetasoup. Weird little Kavie-obsessed girl that I am. *crazy grin*
Actually thinking about it, is it most weird because I'm shipping two recurring characters, one of which people can barely remember the name for and existence of... or is it because I'm shipping Kavanagh, at all? :D
You are not alone. :D I agree with everything you said and think the pairing would rock. Only problem is like to said, he ssaw so little of her that it would basically be like trying to write an OC.
City of Secrets is another fic. It was written for the Harlequin challenge so is AU but very good :D. Also has cover art.
Yeah, that's why my impression of her tends to be she's intelligent (though any scientist there should be), cares about her work and will stand up for it... based solely on less than 5 minutes screentime.
Her hair colour, it's at the lighter end of red, sort of fair/red. I wouldn't call it blonde anyway. I have a few screenshots that have her in, here, here (for hair colour alone).
Better ones from stargatecaps.com - one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. (and they stand pretty close in some of those... ;))
Heh, Liz looks absolutely terrified in the second 'hair' one. I had an amusing phrase in my mind, but the minute I clicked the comment link, it fled. *scowls after fleeing witicism*

P.S: Wasn't she blonde? It's been waay too long since I've seen 30 minutes.
