wow, i don't think i have the words to tell you how much this struck me. You've done a fantastic job with Carson's thoughts and his fear of that "slippery slope" he's talked about in the past. I can only hope the writers of SGA approach Carson and Elizabeth's darker character development with half the skill you've shown with this fic. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

*grumbles at LJ* for some reason I'm still not getting notifications for half the comments that are posted. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I've noticed alot of people saying wow, which is really nice. :D

I too hope they take care with doing the darker storyline, I've read concern aleady about the way he expressed himself in Critical Mass over wanting to help (perhaps too simplisticly given his background in medicine and awareness of morality over the issue) and that was one of the reasons I wanted to delve into this and see if I could draw out a possible line towards that darkness from what we've already seen, hopefully without making it too sudden. I wanted this to feel believable, still fundamentally Carson and I'm really happy if it works like that. :)

This is really diferent. It's nice to hear an inner voice that goes with all of Carson's many concerned/worried expressions. I felt like they made Carson out to sound somewhat naive or stupid in this episode, but I could forgive them, since I felt you could see what they were really trying to get at. This fic really strikes a chord. Lovely!
