In her wonderful list of Ten things to love about Croatoan, the insightful ignipes made the most valuable meta contribution I've seen in a while on themes in Supernatural:
The First Theme is "Sam And Dean Love Each Other Very Very Much So Much It Actually Kinda Of Makes Me Blush Because, Wow, They're Close." But the other theme is "Big Boys Get Beat Up By Pretty Girls A Lot."
I offer the following Table of Chick Fighting as evidence supporting this theory. It includes acts of direct physical violence by pretty girls against a Winchester. Of course we could have a long discussion about defining gender. But who wants that. Okay, if you insist.
Is the demon who has possessed Meg and Sam female? While YED refers to her as his 'daughter', when Dean refers to her as Meg, ze responds 'and now I'm Sam'. As human sexuality is more complex than male and female I would think demon sexuality is too. I think the terms father, family, daughter and son are signifiers of relationships rather than classifications of actual gender. For the purposes of this exercise i have classified the demon as female in both her Meg and Sam formsas that is how ze is perceived by Sam and Dean.
Also the Wendigo. Ze is called a bitch by Dean. And also a bastard. We do know the Wendigo was human orginally. I chucked this one in just coz , hey she's pretty in her own way.
