So Monday - we meet again....
Went to an event last night as part of the Big West festival. it was called "The Writer's Pyre" , and the idea was people bought along pieces of bad writing, read them and consigned them to the flames. (The event was outside and there was a fire in a 44 gallon drum).
Some of the stuff people read - poems written when they were 14, poems of uber angst written after a break-up, old (and not so old) diary entries, abandoned WIPS, pretentious wankery from their avant garde phase, publisher rejection letters, appalling jargon from arts funding applications. It was very fun and i thought i might do something similar here over the hiatus, where we could all post bits of our own bad writing. YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SOME.
I am also putting toegther a picspam meta on "Abandon All Hope" and wanted to mention Bobby the photographer. I love that, following the picture Dean found at his place of the crew at Camp Chitaqua, this now becomes a Bobby "thing".
I like to think it was Bobby who took this pic of the Winchesters that the boys found in John's motel room in Jericho. And that maybe somewhere he has an album full of pics of Sam and Dean growing up. I also loved how in AAH, they used the photo to recreate a hunter's pyre for Jo and Ellen.
