This table documents Sam and Dean's kills and associated violence up to 2x09. It also includes who killed the Monster of the Week, when that was not Sam or Dean.
I know what you're saying... how have I lived without this!
Dean has been responsible for vanquishing 16 supernatural things and Sam for nine. Of these 25 events, seventeen are achieved through the not so blood thirsty methods such as exorcisms, salting and burning etc.
Dean gets violent on eight occasions - shooting (wendigo, shapeshifter, striga, demon boy, infected Mr Tanner), electrocuted (rawhead) and beheaded (vampire). Sam's only real violence was stabbing the rakshasa - which was invisible and behind him at the time.
