There was much talk after Jump The Shark about Sam being so like John. And yes the whole "revenged obsessed, driven by guilt that I couldn't save the person I loved and in the process disconnecting from everyone in my life" parallels are striking. But one thing we must remember when looking at how Sam's character is that he was raised by both John

I think the best adn also darkest think Kripke does is give us this incredible love between Sam and Dean and then tell us that it isn't enough to make things work (unless we get a happy ending!)

Hi. I lurk, but had to come out of hiding to say how how much I love this. This season has strained the boys' relationship so much, that sometimes I need a reminder that it is all about each other. Poor Winchesters just go about everything the wrong way. Srsly, I nearly cried over this. *is over-emotional* Thanks for sharing.
