Update: Well here it is, we've reached the end of the year. Not exactly the most exciting year book-wise, but there were some very good ones in there.

Favorite: The best written was by far The Book Thief, but I also really enjoyed Rant and A Long Way Down.

Least Favorite: Definitely Twilight, and I didn't like New Moon much better ( Read more... )

I was the only one in my english class that didn't like the book. I didn't like it for the same reasons as you--the characters were either completely annoying(DAISY OMG SHE WAS A DUMB BITCH!!!) or entirely pathetic (Gatsby just made me sad really). Anyways I didn't rlly like it either.

First of all, sorry it took me so long to respond. Secondly, I'm really glad I'm not the only one to dislike this book. It's so true, all of the characters were completely pathetic and obnoxious! Blegh. I really like reading books that have characters I can actually relate to, unlike The Great Gatsby.
