"Squares was a breeze" or "Anything I find satisfactory"

I want to post. I want to continue various discussions on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." I want to read the Rogue/Remy fic inspired by this movie. I would like to to expand on my own fanfic regarding said pairing. I'd like to write that review pointing out the flaws in an article on the history of crochet in the latest issue of Interweave CrochetRead more... )

pieces of me: all she needs is therapy, links, pieces of me, movies, history nerd, x-men, really deep thoughts, buried deep in my heart, fanfiction, random life events, deep in my heart, happy hooker

I don't know if all your squares are the same color, probably not if my wife's granny-squares blankets are an example, but if so, perhaps you could vary the joining yarn colors to make a maze pattern like this -

Yes, each square has a flower and there are 10 different flower colours to arrange. I appreciate the suggestion, and the diagram. I'm actually shooting for something different, though. I want it to look really random, but at the same time, there are certain "rules" I'm applying to how close any two squares of the same colour are together, how many of each colour are in each lengthwise row and in each width-wise row. The best way I can think to describe it is like a sudoku with colours rather than numbers. Only larger and slightly more complicated. I know, I know, I'm a masochist with this stuff.

One can only hope. I've been sending semi-regular updates to the friend of mine who it's also from, and she's been telling me it's pretty "gnarly." Which is one of the best compliments it can receive from this friend outside of a metaphor or simile in which a Muppet is involved.

I've been taking pictures of the process and expect to post them sometime early next week, so you can let me know.
