  1. What is your favorite food to eat prepared by someone else (parent, spouse, friend, etc.)? It's really hard to decide. I'm part Italian and part Armenian, so food is really big in my family. My dad makes some great meals. I love his pizza, his pasta for which he can make a myriad of wonderful sauces, his red snapper, the stove top popcorn he ( Read more... )

All that food sounds amazing. I would love to have homemade pasta and pizza.

Maybe try hiding your veggies in other food? I did that last night with a pile of peppers. I just put it into my pasta meal and was able to then eat all of it. Same with the bean burrito bowl thing I had later. Cause I was seriously like "How am I going to eat all of this?" And then I put it in the other thing and it wasn't so bad.

It is amazing food! This weeks' Friday Five made me real hungry!

The pasta itself isn't homemade, but many of the sauces he makes are. Still delicious, though! He's been trying to cut back on carbs, so we haven't had much of either lately.

I'm quite good at picking peppers out of things! I've been doing it less, though. And dad has been putting them in his sauces. He also makes this broccoli salad with garlic, lemon juice and olive oil that I actually like, but it's about the only way I like broccoli! Oh, and an antipasto salad that includes garbanzo beans, hearts of palm, olives, artichoke hearts that I really love, too.

Sounds like you've got a great thing with both of your parents' cooking. :)

My mom makes some good stuff, but has a limited repertoire, and the same is true for me. I'd like to cook more, and have more variety.

They both work full-time, so they don't cook all the time but yes, they are really great about it. It does mean that I have to do the clean-up, though!
