What a lovely moment you've crafted for Buffy's realization. I really like how you made it something 'everyday' - saving the life of one person from a vampire - because that's the heart of what being a hero is. And I also like the way she reconnects with Giles. Thank you so much!

That was wonderful. I love that after the big, spectacular destruction of Sunnydale, it's getting back to her roots, helping one person escape death by vampire, that is the pivotal moment for her. Just excellent.

I loved your story! I think it was the best Buffy is the Hero , Damnit story. I can see Buffy trying to retire but then saving the life of someone and realizing that she is doing what she is meant to be doing. I loved her calling Giles at the end and telling him that she had a slayer in need of an experienced watcher and then saying she was "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer". It brought to mind the episode "Anne" of season three, my favorite part is when she is asked who she is and she answers, with strength and confidence, that she is "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer".
