I wrote this long Holmes/Watson tale last December, for Sizzler Books' call for submissions for a planned Holmes anthology called My Love of All That Is Bizarre. The editor is backlogged and has not yet begun to read for it, so I'm posting an excerpt here on my journal. This is the first half of "The Turkish Bath." Having placed Holmes and Watson

Guy Ritchie's film was actually my first introduction to Holmes and Watson and I liked the movie but wasn't much of a fan in general until my boyfriend said I *had* to read the original collection - so it was downloaded via kindle and, while I still greatly appreciate the GR versions for what they are, there's nothing that can beat original Holmes/Watson!

I completely agree! Though I'm glad the Ritchie film and BBC Sherlock have introduced the Canon to new fans and I myself am a fan of both interpretations of the Great Detective.
