FIC: "Upon the Use of Electrical Vibration in the Treatment of Hysterics," Holmes/Watson NC-17

Apr 27, 2011 21:11

It's been awhile, dear readers, and that's because I have been preoccupied with writing Sherlockian porn for commercial publication, and because of graduate school and other hobbies taking their respective slices from my scant free time. Regarding the former, Elementary Erotica was published recently and one of my stories is included. I hope you'll ( Read more... )

Dear Violet, have I mentioned to you recently how much I adore you and this story? Well, I am remiss. I adore you, and this story.

Glad you liked it! Weiss was a real company and they did manufacture Victorian vibrators. Parodoxically I've never even used a vibrator, I just had to speculate about it. That was my way of getting the steampunk element into the story. You read the whole thing in the editorial stage, for which I am grateful. I'd be glad to give you one of the review copies if you want to read the rest of it. I have been allotted two. A review posted to Amazon would be wonderful - it has not been reveiwed yet, except on Goodreads and on the Renaissance eBooks sites - but you are not obligated to review it. Your copy is just a thank-you for helping me get published. I will dig up your e-mail address and send it to you.

I will most certainly read and review, although it will probably take me a week.

You really must do some research and try a vibrator. It lacks the intimacy and self-communion of doing the job the old fashioned way but it's impressively efficient. I'm surprised that such an accomplished pornographer hasn't explored this particular avenue! And I say "pornographer" with great respect!

Eh, I'm just not a sex toy type of person. Maybe someday, I won't rule it out, but it's not my style. I'm not quite as into sexy as one might expect a pornographer to be. I probably have a low sex drive or something, I barely think about it except when writing pornography, and I don't have much time to do that these days, although if I had more time for writing, who knows?

I think I have also read the Louise Blaydon piece, but I don't recall where. She isn't, perhaps, you - is she?

That is the official "excerpt" so perhaps you read it on the Circlet site or the many other places where the e-book has been touted. She is most definitely not me!

Lovely story. But I must say, this was my favorite line He stood up, cracked his neck, and resumed his position on the sofa.
I just love the detail that he cracked his neck afterwards

That's funny, because one of my preliminary readers who helped me get the story ready for publication also loved the little detail about Holmes cracking his neck. I wrote another story in which the erotic antics of House and Wilson caused a lamp to wobble on the night-table and I got compliments on that small details as well. I guess the little details make it more realistic. Thanks for reading and I am so glad you liked it :)
