coming soon: more Sherlock Holmes slash

I was extremely excited to stumble across a call for submissions for Elementary Erotica , an upcoming publication from Circlet Press:

There's always been a certain… something about Sherlock Holmes. Though a confirmed bachelor, and a cool logician, there's a certain sexiness about him, and about many of the people who passed through the doors of ( Read more... )

Good luck! If anyone can pull it off, you can!

(Tee-heeing at the idea of you having to write het...not that you can't, but, you know...tee-hee...)

Why thanks for your vote of confidence! I think I can write the het - it really is necessary for the story - but as of yet those sections are just elipses that I will fill in later, as the gay scenes are so much more fun to write! But I do think a bisexual Watson makes more sense in the context of the Canon - his marriage to Mary was not sham, IMO. But she doesn't have any role in the story, it's during their golden bachelor days. And my theory is that a Victorian bachelor like Watson, a good old public school and army boy, would have had much experience frolicking with the other boys and brought that into his relationship with Holmes. Who is completely gay, in my fanwanking anyway (Conan Doyle wrote him to be asexual.)

Ooh, can't wait for more House/Wilson!! Your H/W stories are the absolute favorite of mine, of all fandoms and all gayrotica. And this project promises good things as well!

I thought Robert Downey Jr made an okay Sherlock Holmes in all ways but the physical. I just can't see him as the tall, thin, and grey-eyed Holmes...

Aw, thanks for making me your favorite! I've been exploring other kinds of slash, and I do intend to write some Holmes/Watson in the movie-verse, as well as (don't laugh) some Chuck slash, it's a spy-fi show on NBC that I've gotten really into. And some original fics for the collection. But don't worry, I still have a House/Wilson in progress, another take on their first meeting.

RDJ doesn't look like Holmes at all, I agree. He's such a fine actor that I think he pulled it off beautifully but there is no physical resemblance, the movie did play fast and loose with the Canon.

My husband loves Chuck. The show, not the dude. (I think.)

The weirdest slash bug I've caught (or rather generated, since I doubt anyone else is crazy enough for it) is this Finnish cartoon series "Pasila" (there are episodes with subtitles on Youtube). It's about a dysfunctional police detective who is this fast-chattering little dude with a pacifier in his mouth. He has perpetual women troubles, and meanwhile this blond colleague of his is super-nice to him, always supports him through every crazy scheme, thinks he's a total genius, and in general runs himself ragged for him. The backstory is that they'd met at police school. They'd make a fine slash couple if this had been a live show. *sigh*

I would have trouble slashing animated characters although there certainly is a huge community of slash-loving anime fans, but I just can't imagine animated characters having sex.

I have a crazy crush on Chuck's Colonel Casey, played by Alec Baldwin. I think he's so sexy and would love to see him and Chuck getting it on. Alec Baldwin was also Jayne Cobb in Firefly/Serenity but I think he's much better as Casey, his dry humour is hilarious and he's always growling, which I find oddly sexy.

There is not much Chuck slash out there but a few House slash writers have tipped their toes in the proverbial waters: nakeno and recrudescence.
