It's good, well written smut, but you don't really have Jack's voice down. I can't see him ever calling Ianto 'darling' or 'luscious tart' or using the words 'divine' in regard to fucking. It kind of pulls you out of the fic a bit too much to truly enjoy it. I've read your House/Wilson stuff so I know how good you can be and these are little things that are easily fixed.

Hm, I guess my Victorian fetish just leaks over into everything I write. I have no problem with Jack using antiquated terms, even though he's from the 51st century, but he did live through Victorian London and no doubt spoke as to blend himself in.

Ah well, it was just an experiment. I am not sure if I'll write Jack/Ianto again but if I do, I probably won't use first-person. I can't take anyone but Jack's perspective, though, because I'm an American and have no idea how a Welshman talks.

Very hot and well written, but i agree with the above about what Jack is calling Ianto.

Yes, as mentioned above, this was just an experiment and I'm not sure if I can write Jack/Ianto again. I intend to focus more on Holmes/Watson because they mesh so well with my natural narrative voice which is decidely Victorian.

Thanks! It's hard to say what Jack would call Ianto in the throes of passion. We've never seen a real sex scene other than that regrettably short 10 seconds in the terrarium when Gwen interrupts them. I think the main objection was that he's not perceived as a tender, affectionate lover who would use terms like 'darling' and 'sweetheart' and for whatever reason, that's how I see him, especially after the romantic conversation in To The Last Man, in which, from my slash perspective, he admitted that he loves Ianto.

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback.

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. I adore the Jack/Ianto pairing, though I'm not sure if Jack's point-of-view comes naturally to me and being an American, I don't think I can write from Ianto's point-of-view. But maybe I'll try third-person Jack/Ianto next time. I do think I'll try again with these two, they're such a delicious pair.
