Stuff and Nonsense

I know some of you have said you've read Julia Quinn before. Well, I just finished The Duke and I last night and I plowed through the end of that thing! Please tell me the rest of the Bridgerton books are this good. I have them all, so I don't need to wait to acquire them. The Viscount Who Loved Me is sitting right next to me as I type this. I ( Read more... )

I loved all of Julia Quinn's books that I've read (though, The Duke and I might be my favorite -- it was also my first one, so I have a soft spot).

My first was The Lost Duke of Wyndham and I went right into Mr. Cavendish, I Persume and I loved them both. How could I not love the first one? It's lead was Captain Jack!

I've also recently read a good chunk of Lisa Kleypas' stuff. I still have a few to continue with as well (like the Wallflower series).

I've really been enjoying them. Before that, I've read Stephanie Laurens (well, up to the twins in the Cynster series) and Mary Balogh, who's work I just adore.

But what I like about Julia and Lisa is their humor. I love a good laugh in my romance.

I love the entire Bridgerton series.

Although, Colin's is my favorite.

Even thought I'm only on the second book, I've determined it's just impossible to dislike Colin. You have to adore him. It's the rules of the world.

Very true.
I want my very own Colin.
I love their mother as well.

The entire Bridgerton series is great (the last two are a bit less interesting though). The Duke And I is one of my favourites. Colin's book is the fourth one. And he is adorable.

Doctor Who news? Meh. I just can't get excited. I checked out when Billie left the first time and now that she and David will both be gone, I just shrug at the whole thing.

Yup, same here.

That's always a risk with a series, although Mary Balogh's Slightly series was good all the way through and the last book was the strongest (but my second favorite as I love Adian the most).

I'm reading the first one, Slightly Married, at the moment! So far I'm really enjoying it and I ordered the other five books as well. Balogh's tone is a bit more serious than JQ's and her characters are well-defined IMO.

That one is my favorite. I just adore Aidan. A lot of people prefer Wulf, and I love him but Aidan is my Bedwyn. Free is awesome too.

I was so used to Balogh's and even Laurens' styles that JQ and Lisa Kleypas were a big change for me! I love it. I love when humor is infused. Of course I get strange looks when I can't hold a snicker in though.

I really enjoyed the Bridgerton series, so if you like the first one, I'm sure you'll like the rest, too.

I really liked the other two book I read by her (her most recent actually), and I've only heard good things about this series, so I optimistic about them.

The last series of siblings I read about I loved (Mary Balogh's Slighty series). This group seems just a likable or even more so.
