it's funny.. i was thinkign of writing "am i turning into a hipster?" in my entry but didn't. :P but.. no ironic palestinian-scarves-without-knowing-what-it-means and big ugly glasses for me!

the justice remix of lovestoned totally pwns the original mix and is awesome, i've been listening to it on repeat for about a month now. also, it works better if in the opening verse, you substitute the words 'limo ass' for 'lil more ass'!

i'm embarrassed by how many repeats of the song happen in a row each time i listen.. heheh

Yeah, I was going to comment on how strange it must be for you to DJ events like that which are basically talk shops for us far left trainspotters.

I think the fact that it was on a weekday night leads itself to a more sedate crowd that doesn't really party as hard as they might on a weekend.

In anycase, I did appreciate the fact that there was some good background music even if you didn't make wine out of water and pack the dance floor.

it's alright cuz lounge-y events allow me to play stuff i don't play as party music (dub, more eclectic stuff, downtempo..) but last night, i felt like whipping out some of my new records which just so happens to fall in the "dancefloor bangers" category. :)

there is an extended version of SMD's 'Wooden' on the American release of ADSR. I'm not a huge fan of the band, but that extended version kills. Its so epic...
