This has been possibly the worst vacation ever. Aside from being sick and having to get 5 stitches, Michael and I lost one of our beloved babies. It is really hard for me to write about this, but I think that it might be good for me. Please excuse me if this all seems a little silly to some of you, but I hope that many people can sympathize. I can empathize. Pets are like best friends. You wouldn't hear from me for a while if my dog died. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the lj hugs. I really miss her, but we didn't want to leave Gizmo all alone, so my mom offered to give us her beloved clinic cat, Chloe. Chloe is my mom's cat that lives at her clinic because my step-dad doesn't want her at the house. She spends all of her time while my mom is not at work in a cage. I still miss Zelda a lot, and Chloe isn't really a replacement. But I am just glad that she has a nice home now and another cat to hang with. Gizmo was freaked when he saw her though, because she is huge!
I can't wait to see you at the party!

Hey I totally sympathize. I worked for a vet for a while and there is nothing worse than a routine procedure that goes completely wrong and you lose a life. That's the worst.
I hope you find another pet soon for Gizmo. You have my condolences.
