We should all drink tea soon. Some time after the new year, and when it's not pouring rain outside.

Also, yeah, how exciting that she might be here for a few months next year!! We haven't dragged you to Hotei yet for our favorite miso ramen.

The sweety and I enjoyed seeing you and S wiggle on the dance floor.

Tea in the New Year sounds lovely!

I've tasted the amazing Hotei miso ramen, but not with your delightful company. Mmm, that sounds so good right now.

Anytime you want to go dancing, drop me a line. ;)

Yay Venice! I thought it was lovely but I hear it's even more beautiful in the winter. Lucky you!

I get feathers at http://www.tonyhill.net/ (Lamplight).

I'm absolutely delighted that I get to go. I've never been, but I've been hearing stories about how frightfully cold it will be.

Thanks for the feather link. I'll check that out.
What have you used the feathers for?

Any idea what the long narrow dramatically curved feathers are that you might find on a vintage hat? I'm hoping to find a few of those in white.
Are they pheasant feathers with the pattern bleached out?

I made feather hoodoos. I just made up the word hoodoo just now. I think they're also called feather fascinators. They have the nice feathers you're thinking of but you have to curl it yourself.

I think you're going to have to clip & curl feathers into that shape yourself, but I think you can accomplish this with peacock swords or even dyed coque. Some places carry pheasant tail already curled, which might be what you mean. They look especially nice layered so the curls come out at different lengths.

If you will be in Amsterdam during the day go see the Horticus Botanicus, an amazing healing herb and exotic plant garden from 1600. Also the Rejks Museum is really good, Van Gogh of course, and go see the canal suburbs a little bit away from the exact center, the big park is also cool. but those are all cultured things, uncultured things are easy to find and know about.
