That was really good! Great characterization of both of them. A sweet "stolen moment." :)

Oh my gosh, that was awesome! Loved every bit of it. I want a sequel!!!

Some favs: "But while Kyle Reese had been the prophet of doom that changed Sarah Connor’s life in 48 hours, Derek Reese was the prophet that cleaned the guns and cut the lawn. "

"He’d take clothing from the dryer and fold it methodically with the far away look in his eyes that he got over the strangest things- cereal bowls or dripping faucets or his own reflection." That so sounds like Derek!

Thanks so much rafikiven. This one was composed far too late at night after I actually ran across a line of someone's underwear and thought of prayer flags. Sarah's sort of absurd connotations developed thus. Next time I run into a strangely inspiring domestic scene I'll see what I can do about a sequel.

I've meant to try out a lil Derek/Sarah but it never really came together!

The imagery of this is amazing, and the image of the colored underwear in the wind like the prayer flags is fantastic. Fantastic glimpse into Derek's future, his past, his world. Thanks for sharing.

I was a little afraid the absurd/funny couldn't overtake the kind of counterintuitive spirituality I was going for- glad it worked out ok.

Thanks so much for reading!
