A girl of 10 was raped by a man of 24 and an accomplice last year. The man has recently been given a sentence of two years. TWO YEARS?!

The judge said " in sentencing he faced a moral dilemma as the fact they had sex within 45 minutes of meeting was an absolute crime.

But he said the girl had dressed provocatively and looked as though she was 16

I remember having a screaming match with my mam when I was about 11 or 12 because I wanted a lime green pinafore-type dress - it really wasn't very revealing - and she yelled out that girls who wore that kind of thing sent out the wrong message to men, and that's how they got raped. Thankfully by then I had very strong feminist convictions (where I got them from, I don't know) so I was wildly angry but also thoroughly put down her argument.

Raped by a man *and* his accomplice - but she looked like a tart, so fair's fair?! And anyway, what 10 year old looks like she's 16? No matter what she's wearing... there is no way.

UGH, I was just about to make an outraged post about this myself. I am just so disgusted right now. I cannot believe that that excuse was used. No matter what a 10 year old child is wearing there is absolutely no reason for a grown man to think that this entitles him to have sex with her
