I only read the first book so I don't know if they reflect the same phenomenon, but I've noticed when I pick up genre fiction lately that there is a definite convergence of fiction and fanfic there as well. In fact, I read this Sherilynn Kenyon thing that might have appeared on a fanfic forum although she'd probably have been told she needed a good beta.
Are you referring to the Queen suggesting to Bill that he an Eric just do it already and she can watch? Or did I miss something else? I only watch about half show. ;)
I haven't seen tonight's TB, cause I basically can't, but I appreciate the fact that you said that now, when for the last year my relationship with that show has involved great amounts of disgust at myself for watching what in fanfiction have been all of my pet peeves and some I didn't know I had.
And still I'm eating this show up and loving it. seriously, I can't not watch. This is like crack.
After almost every episode this season, I told myself it was too terrible to continue watching, but I kept coming back. My daughter's boyfriend is also shamefully addicted, and she watches too although she's pretending it's to keep us company.
(Thinking about it, then I should just have quoted the show: "Always room for one more! We could have used you an hour ago for naked hide-and-seek!" Torchwood > All other shows! *g*)
