Gawd please tell me there really isn't going to be a Conservative government elected tonight. Who out there is voting for that Neo-Mormon idjit anyways? It makes me sick up in my mouth.

you said- "I like that - sick into my own scorn."

I say-"It is sometimes really funny (and scary) the sayings and expressions that pop out of your head- made up or remembered from time to time"

I just keep telling myself, it's a minority government. At least they'll be slowed down.

There is something seriously wrong with our voting system. Currently the Conservatives and the Liberals are within under .5% of the popular vote.

All politics aside, Harper just gives me the creeps. I think it's the lips.

Bleh.

Our voting system is fucked. The whole thing is just wrong - I get angry everytime we have a federal election and I'm sick to death of it. I just read your entry on the election and Harper as the Gov. of Utah. You nailed that one and I'm glad I'm not alone in reading his creepy ass Christian vibrations.

Yeah the lips - all the better to suck the Republican cock.

Actually Micheal Moore nailed that one, but I am more tha happy to tout his beliefs from the rooftops.

I've been doing some math and if the Liberals and the NDP actually get their shit together and the BQ is its normal intransigent self they can keep the Conservatives pretty much tied up. Between the NDP and the Libs will hold more seats together than the Conservatives.

That is, if the Liberals can prove for once that their name is not meant ironically.

If anybody looks, I'll be hiding under my bed for the next five years. Or possibly in the UK. Is that cowardly?

I love the word "idjit". It ranks up there with "knob".

Oh, yeah. Sorry about your government. I read the Michael Moore article and agreed whole heartedly.

Well its pretty tough to get that left-leaning-centrist strength in numbers when you have some 39 political parties in the elections with such broad ranging platforms as secession, annexation to the U.S. (WTF?), a 30 hour work week, complete deregulation of marijuana, "sex-positive communities", and of course "The Party Of Citizens Who Have Decided To Think For Themselves And Be Their Own Politicians". Which to me sounds a bit like the "Ministry of Silly Walks".
Best wishes to you Canadia. Hope your democracy works better than ours.

I hadn't realised you were having elections.

Over here, Tony Blair is doing a good job of moving to the right of the Tories. while they are starting to sell themselves as the social justice party. Crazy world.
