Where the Deep Ones are rocks. My husband got it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and when I opened it, I burst out laughing because I had come *this close* to buying it for him.
For home sushi-ing, I recommend going down to St. Lawrence market in the mornign and picking some up. A bit of a pain, but I've never had such good fish.
This. I usually go to Dominic's fish market for sushi grade tuna. And you don't need very much. A pretty small piece of tuna will make a surprising amount of sushi.
I am totally with Aidan on that. I can't stand cooked fish (unless it's from Chippy's, which barely counts, what with all the batter), but I love raw fish.
Oh man, he would definitely love Where the Deep Ones are, as it opens with the little boy demanding fish, all he wants to eat is more fish!
I've bought salmon just from Dominion/Metro before, and it worked fine...but I also eat raw chicken, my body is messed.
I agree with Aidan though. Cooking most fish, ruins it. Halibut is alright cooked, but most, I don't like.
Depending on what he likes, it could be a touch deceptive, but imitation crabmeat doesn't have these concerns. So you could always keep a pack in a the fridge/freezer to make him some rolls with that, if he likes it.
