If any of you use those spiffy Nalgene water bottles, like the one taikakettu has been toting around since January, you need to check out this site now:

Detox Nalgene

So did I. GRRR. I already have endocrine issues; that's the last thing I need. So much for that. Jerks.

Well, too late there. [rueful grin] Those predate the bottle by years, but I bet it's extra not good for me, starting from a position of "already screwed". I sent them an angry e-mail too, and linked from my LJ. Thanks for posting about this. Rarr.

I hope that everyone in your family is fine despite this; I'm glad that you caught it before it got really bad. [hugs]

Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say.

Hope your wife is okay??

Incredibly frustrated and upset, but otherwise... Well, I guess we'll find out in July (that's when the twins are due). :-/

I'm just glad that she didn't get it until after the first trimester, when there's the greatest risk of miscarriage, was past, and that it hasn't yet been six months that she's had it. Apparently that's when they start hitting really dangerous levels, so I guess we can hope that whatever exposure she and the babies have had up to now maybe hasn't been too bad.

Thanks for the anti-plastic checklist -- that's something I've been tackling lately, and it gave me a couple extra ideas for things to look at.
