This weekend is a big work crunch for me, though I do have commitments to drag myself away from work for a couple of things (like every friend we haven't seen in a long time seeming to want to have parties all at once tonight). And Sunday night may be the worst of it, as I'm supposed to have a big chunk of work done for Monday morning. That's why I was hoping to be able to see it at a later date.

But we'll see how things go... Maybe if I've gotten a fair bit done by Sunday evening I'll be able to take a bit of time off to come over.

Have you read the book? It's great fun.

Also recommend "The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature" by Matt Ridley. (Actually, anything by him is an interesting read.)

"The Myth of Monogamy" was good too. Can't remember the authors, and can't find the book on my shelves right now.

No, I'd never heard of it until I saw this article today. But the subject matter does put me in mind of Mystery Dance by Lynn Margulis and Dorion Sagan, which I really enjoyed. Will have to look up the others.

The Toronto Star should get a bleach fucking Enema. The definition of Puritanism is the haunting feeling that someone, somewhere just MAY be having fun. I think in some ways that sums up what's worst about this town in general, and it's journalism in particular. Ugh!

Aside from THAT however, the show sounds GREAT!
